Bajaj Auto Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj has said that the Bajaj ethanol motorcycle will be unveiled in September 2024.
Bajaj Auto is gearing up to launch its ethanol-powered motorcycle soon, which will be unveiled in September 2024 along with an ethanol-powered three-wheeler. Speaking to a TV channel, Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director, Bajaj Auto Ltd, said that the company is gearing up to launch both the ethanol motorcycle and the three-wheeler this financial year. Bajaj has already launched the world’s first CNG-powered motorcycle, the Bajaj Freedom 125, in July this year.
“We have always felt very encouraged when Mr. Gadkari brought this fuel to the fore. Next month, along with other companies in the industry, we will launch our ethanol motorcycle and tricycle in Delhi. I think we will launch these products this financial year,” Rajiv Bajaj said in an interview to a TV channel.
So far, there is no information on what the new Bajaj ethanol-powered motorcycle will look like. There are two possibilities: One possibility is that Bajaj will take an existing petrol-powered model that can run on ethanol fuel. The second possibility is that Bajaj will opt for a completely new model like the CNG-powered Freedom 125. More details will be announced once the motorcycle is unveiled in September 2024.
At the last edition of the Bharat Mobility Show, several ethanol-powered two-wheelers were showcased, including one from Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, the Honda CB300F Flex Tech, which runs on E20-E85 fuel. TVS Motor Company had also unveiled an E100-powered Apache RTR 200 model a few years ago.
