Baramulla Clash: Three Terrorists Killed in School Building Standoff

Baramulla, September 14 — Three terrorists have been neutralized in an ongoing encounter in the Chak Tappar area of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, as confirmed by officials on Saturday.

According to the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the encounter, which began late last night, initially resulted in the death of one terrorist. Two additional terrorists were subsequently killed, bringing the total number of slain terrorists to three. The terrorists were reportedly cornered inside a school building.

The joint operation, involving the Army’s 29 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), and the Jammu and Kashmir Police, was launched based on credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists in Chak Tappar village. As the security forces moved in on the suspected location, the terrorists opened fire, leading to the current confrontation.

The search operation is still underway as authorities continue to secure the area and ensure no further threats remain.
