Baba Siddiqui Murder Case: Key Accused Nabbed in Nagpur by Mumbai Crime Branch

In a major breakthrough in the high-profile Baba Siddiqui murder case (DCB CID CR No. 86/2024), the Mumbai Crime Branch team apprehended Sumit Dinkar Wagh (26), a resident of Panaj, Tahasil Akot, District Akola, from Nagpur City.

Wagh played a significant role in the conspiracy, including transferring funds to multiple accused linked to the crime. Key revelations include:

1. Money transfers via Karnataka Bank (Petlad branch, Gujarat) to accused Nareshkumar, Rupesh Mohol, and Harishkumar.


2. Internet banking transactions using a SIM card registered under co-accused Salman Vora.


3. Acting on the directives of wanted accused Shubham Lonkar, his college friend and accomplice from Akot City.


4. Assisting in opening fraudulent bank accounts in Vora’s name.



Wagh is being brought to Mumbai for further investigation. His arrest is expected to shed light on the broader network behind the murder plot.
