Mumbai, 09th September 2024: In an unexpected turn of events, the Jai Jawan Govinda team stepped up to assist with the immersion of Ganaraya’s idol in New Shamnagar, Jogeshwari East, following a personal tragedy. Niranjan Aher, a local social worker, shared with The New Bharat Times that while Ganaraya had arrived at a house in New Shamnagar for the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, a family member unexpectedly passed away, complicating the immersion process.
According to tradition, the Ganesh idol must be immersed promptly. The local Raja Shirodkar, who was informed of the situation, noted that the idol, measuring between 2.5 and 3 feet in height, presented additional challenges for the immersion.
In response to this unforeseen circumstance, the Jai Jawan Govinda team was called for help. Coach Sandeep promptly mobilized about 15 members of his team to handle the immersion with the necessary care and respect. They successfully carried out the immersion process, ensuring Ganaraya was given a proper farewell amidst the difficult circumstances.
The Jai Jawan Govinda team has been widely praised for their swift and responsible action, demonstrating community spirit and dedication in times of need. Their efforts have been recognized and congratulated at all levels, showcasing their commitment to both tradition and community support.
